The truck was purchased in the mid sixties from a used truck centre on Parramatta Rd Sydney, by local Ampol agents Kevin & Leo Eccleston. The Truck was originally plain red but was repainted by Ampol in their livery,
It operated mainly for fuel and oil delivery but was also used for general freight.
It was also used as a volunteer fire truck but never saw any action.
After being allowed to run out of rego in the early eighties, it was taken to Tumblong and used to cart wood and then to Nangus where it stayed until restoration work began in June 2013.
The truck completed in june 2015 and re-registered by the Eccleston Family
